I always liked this Billy Joel song and recently a friend emailed me a Flash version by Ye Li a PH.D. Candidate in Decision Science at the University of Chicago and it breathed new life into the old song.
The song references a catalog of headline events during his lifetime, from March 1949 to 1989, the year it was released. Li's creation has been so popular that teachers have used it to give their students some kind of connection with history in a format that will catch their imagination.

Free Hugs was started by Juan Mann (a pseudonym for 'one man') in 2004 but only became popular after a video appeared on You Tube in 2006 thanks to a cool song 'All The Same' by Aussie group Sick Puppies. The video was shot at The Pitt Street Mall in Sydney by Sick Puppies lead singer Shimon Moore and has to date gotten over 21 million hits.
International Free Hugs Day On the forum of the official Free Hugs campaign website, Juan Mann called for an annual International Free Hugs Day, to be celebrated every year on the first weekend after June 30; the first such day was July 7, 2007, also known as 7/7/07. The purpose of the day is to promote the Free Hugs Campaign.
